Football is more than just a game.
It can support the physical, emotional, and social development of children with Severe Learning Difficulties. Playing football helps pupils stay active, build confidence and self-esteem, and improve coordination and motor skills through fun, age-appropriate movement. It also provides valued opportunities for teamwork, communication and peer interaction, helping pupils form new friendships and feel part of a group. At its heart, inclusive football encourages positive emotional experiences, resilience and joy, enabling pupils to succeed in a supportive environment outside the classroom.
Sunningdale School warmly invites Key Stage 2 pupils from schools and settings that support children with Severe Learning Difficulties to our Inclusive Football Tournament on Friday 17th July 2026.
This event has been designed to be fun, inclusive, and accessible for all levels of ability, with adaptations and support where needed to ensure every child can take part with confidence.
