GOVERNING BODY
Members of the governing body govern the school. They are all volunteers and represent all walks of life including businesses, community groups, charities, parents, school staff and friends of the school.
The full governing body meet at least once a term as does the finance committee. Additional committees meet as and when required. Committee membership is made up of volunteers recruited from the governing body.
The governing body oversees the running of the school in all areas including leadership, recruitment, curriculum, finance, safeguarding, health and safety and premise management. They are involved in self evaluating practice and ensuring the school is run smoothly and effectively. Link governors specialise in overseeing the S.I.T.teams and visit regularly to evaluate practice across the school.
Members of the governing body attend regular training and the Chair meets with the head teacher on a monthly basis in order to keep abreast of school affairs. We believe it is important for the members and the school to work in partnership at all times and with this in mind members receive a school newsletter on a monthly basis informing them of school events.
