We take a creative approach to our teaching and our curriculum encompasses all areas of learning within a holistic approach that meets the individual needs of our pupils. Pupils do not sit down to conventional ‘lessons’ but instead learn subject specific content through activities and opportunities that are presented in a cross-curricular format to ensure learning is transferable and meaningful.
This ensures that Children are taught in a way that promotes independence, creativity and problem solving skills. These are developed alongside Basic Skills to ensure that the child has all the tools they need for life beyond school.
In addition to this children are taught in environments such as our ‘Story Cottage’, ‘Story Trail’, ‘Community Garden’ and ‘Forest School’ that help promote ‘creative behaviours’.
